Currently we are offering a free consultation for anyone who is looking to get back to work. During this 30 minute to 1 hour consultation you work with an certified instructor to put together a training and certification plan to get you to the skill level you you can even test drive the training for yourself. The Technical Employment Support Grant (TESG)

The Technical Employment Support Grant (TESG) allows National Employment Services Officers to support a range of responses for clients who are experiencing major barriers in progressing from unemployment to the workforce, where this need cannot be met by FÁS directly or any other state provider, within a reasonable timeframe or at a location convenient to the jobseeker. A budget of up to €1,270 (in exceptional circumstances, up to €2,500) per person may be made available for this purpose.

How it works:

  • Visit your local FAS office and speak to your Placement Officer
  • Click for local office
  • Explain to FAS Placement Officer that you would like to attend this course to develop an Action Plan for your return to work
  • If one of our courses is essential to helping you find employment, FAS may fund the training up to 100%

Each application is considered individually by FAS and must be relevent to your Action Plan

    hi my name is thomas, i just wanted to know if i would be eligible for help with a course in ccna ccent icnd1i‘m 31 years old and along with having left school early and not sat any exams for junior or leaving certs have been umemployed most of my life.
    i have a huge desire to turn my life around and would love a career in the IT world NETWORKING to be exact the path it seems to be the icnd1 and icnd2 exams,so if you could please give me any information you have on this i would be very greatfu.thank you

      Hi Thomas, in order to establish eligibility you will need to contact your local FAS/SOLAS office and ask there. If you ask them about the TESG grant, that may be your best option.
