Hike in Aid of Syria

By | March 8, 2013

The staff of New Horizons, which include some Syrian natives, are climbing up over Djouce peak to Powerscourt and back again in aid of Unicef’s Syria appeal. So please sponsor this worthy cause.

All proceeds will go to Unicef’s Syria Appeal where Escalating violence has put the lives of 1.5 million people at risk. UNICEF has now declared the crisis in Syria and the neighbouring countries as the highest level of emergency. To date more than 620,000 people have fled Syria to neighbouring countries. These refugee families who are mainly living in camps, makeshift tents or with host families are in need of serious humanitarian assistance.
