So at last you can download Word, Excel and PowerPoint for iPad from the App Store.  With the free versions of the apps, you can read your Word documents, view your Excel data and present with PowerPoint.

However, in order to create and edit documents you’ll need an Office 365 subscription.

An Office 365 subscription not only gets you access to 5 copies of Office applications on tablets, Mac and PC. You’ll also get 20GB of online storage and access to Office Mobile apps for iOS and Android. The newly renamed OneDrive online storage (formerly SkyDrive) allows you to sync edits across all your devices.
